I wanna take it at a community college cuz i hate the perfectionism and tedium associated with pre cal. Will bring down my GPA though : ( . I’m pretty sure it looks good to colleges if you take calculus and I’m pretty sure I need the credit to take Physics C. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to ace calculus this summer?

Wow can you take calc during the summer?

don't sweat it, calc is easy

I have been told that calc is almost easier during the summer, because you can just really immerse your self in the concepts.
On the other hand, it's awfully nice to have TIME to let things sink in!

definetly get a calc background before jumping into AP Physics C. My school got rid of the B class, so all the non-calc kids are way over their heads while the rest of the class gets the integrating stuff which we haven't learned yet in our regular calc class.

calc I is easy as hell...don't worry about it...I actually did worse in trig than in calc

do u have to pay when u take classes (math for instance) over the summer (city college or any colleges)? and if u take a math class, say precal, do u have to take a test before taking calculus during school year? (just to see if you meet the standard level) also, do colleges give u credits 4 that?

Becareful that is wont count towards school

Most of my math teachers highly do NOT recommend summer math classes, for 2 reasons.

Has been stated already, you just don't have the time to let the concepts sink in.

Where the sumemr courses begin (as in the material) can vary, and the teacher may not fit your "style" of learning. If it's at your school, that teacher has been interacting with past students similar to you, so know what's what and when's when.

Your choice. In my opinion, Calc wasn't that hard either.

The Calc cours i am talking is an IB/PSU(portland state) I get college credit for it. I agree with everyone else it is not that hard. I have a teacher who pretty much has not taught it before, and is not the best at teaching concepts and helping, I manged a 95% out of there. Take it. Besides if u get a b its in an advanced class, it looks good.
