Tips on Identifying Sentence Errors?

So I thought I'd like to make this point straight: I READ SILVERTURTLE'S GUIDE

Okay, so I do excellent on the fixing sentences part of the writing portion (like I get 5 wrong..). And then when the sentence error questions, I completely BOMB IT.

Any tips?

Do some practice tests, understand the questions you got wrong, spot your weakness, read the guide and your grammar book again, and practice.
Remember to be careful when reading the sentences. Sometimes I got wrong because I was too careless and didn’t see a verb should be in the plural form or past perfect.

BUt whenever I read the sentence, it always sounds fine? So how can I overcome that problem

All you need to do is read Silverturtle’s guide and also Sparknote’s Seven Deadly Sentence Errors ( I think that’s what it is called). Then, you just need to practice. Work several writing sections out of the blue book several times a week. Check the solutions and understand your errors. The writing multiple choice is pretty formulaic, it is pretty much the same errors over and over again every test. After a while, it should become second nature. I also recommend that when you are reviewing your writing section, don’t only check the solutions for your wrong answers. Go back and re answer every question, checking the solutions to see why you got it right.

Where can I find Silverturtle’s guide and Sparknote’s Seven Deadly Sentence Errors, and any other sources which help with sentence correction??
