I took the ACT for the first time in September and my scores were:
34 - Composite
36 - English
29 - Math
34 - Reading
35 - Science
As you can see, my Math score is a huge outlier lolol. I’m content with all my scores except Math. I felt really pressed for time while I was taking it. I skipped a lot of problems because they didn’t make sense to me and I ended up just guessing for them.
Does anyone have advice on what concepts I should study, how to cut down on time, and what prep books I should buy?
How are you doing well on reading? Honestly I am good at math but I’m revising algebra 1,2 and Geometry stuff bc I am taking ap cal bc and I haven’t done geometry in years. I would look up all topics on act math to see which I am weakest at and revise it. Take many math practice tests and you’ll be fine. If you go fast, always check your answers bc you might fill on the wrong oval when you have the right answer (it happened to me and it sucks). GL. Btw tell me more about the reading section bc it is my only struggle.
