Tips on interview thank-you note?

Hello CCers!

I just had an interview for a college and wanted to write a thank you note thanking the interviewer for his time. I’ve never written an actual letter (snail mail) so I wanted some advice on how to do it. Should it be hand-written or typed? In a regular piece of paper, something like a postcard, etc? How long are they often?

I know I might be thnking too much about it but this was the first interview I think I did very well on, so I wanted to be sure on what I was doing.

Hand write: “Thank you for your time and answering my questions. Your point about XYZ was helpful. Sincerely, FriskySquirrel”

Note or postcard is fine.
