Tips on making this topic work?

I want to write about how I spent my high school years running from responsibility as a way to "cover my ass" so to speak (didn't do so hot in high school). However, I don't want to have it come off as that.

I was thinking of tying it into real running which I took up as a hobby for a bit but I'm not sure how that would work as I dropped it because of lack of time which probably would just show lack of dedication.

I'm really short on essay topics that I'm really passionate about so it's probably gonna have to be about this unless someone could help direct me to a better topic?

Thanks for the help. This is extremely important to me.

That topic doesn’t seem like a good idea…

Honestly, you’re probably right. I’ve tried to brainstorm other ideas though but I’ve lived a relatively stress-free, trouble-free life. I have never really been passionate about an activity or experienced any hardship.

I’ve also looked through many potential topics and couldn’t find anything I was interested in and could therefore put my voice in it.

PM you brainstorming/essay writing piece. let me know if you didn’t receive it.

Is there a thing that makes you interesting? Hopefully, yes. Write about that.

When you say you’ve “never really been passionate about an activity or experienced any hardship,” you make yourself sound kind of boring, to be honest. But probably you don’t think of yourself as a boring person – there’s most likely something that makes you unique or intriguing. It just might not fit the typical hardship or passion tropes.
