Hello!

I miss a range of 3 to 4 questions on the multiple choice section of the Writing Section. I'm pretty good with spotting errors and improving sentences. However, when I go over my practice tests/sections, I always find that I miss those 3 or 4 question due to second guessing, rushing, and/or making stupid mistakes. I rarely come across a question where I flat out have no clue why I miss that question. As of now, my essay score is at 8/9, I feel that I always forget to make the connection back to my argument, which is obviously crucial. In school, I'm a relatively good writer because I have more than 25 minutes to write an essay. I have a few essay which I've written that have been scored by a friend's father who is an English teacher/SAT tutor. He agrees that I have issues with connecting back to my argument. How do I fix this? Should I go through the essays I've written and edit them so that I know what a '12 essay' looks like and continue to try to implement that while writing practice essays? Any advice for someone who wants to move from 700 to 800?

In Critical Reading, I'm average. I generally miss 8-10 questions total, which leaves me at the mid-600s, but I have missed as few as 1 per section, so I know that a higher score is probable. I tend to miss only the questions with the more complex words in the Sentence Completions. However, for the passages, it varies. Sometimes I'll miss the easier questions while other times I'll only get the hard questions wrong. I've been practicing for a while, but I don't know how to increase my score. Any tips?

Thank you!
