I have no idea where to start, my mind is all over the place, I don't even know what to write about. Any tips?

are you a transfer student?

yes i am a transfer student

What’s the prompt?

Topic A for Transfers: The statement of purpose will provide an opportunity to explain any extenuating circumstances that you feel could add value to your application…

Don’t start listing awards, or academic stuff, b/c they your transcripts show it
Don’t make excuses why you couldn’t be admitted as a freshman
Instead, talk about challenges and how you came forward through those obstacles
Talk about family circumstances or hardships that you might have had
Talk about how you learned from them
If something really sticks out, write about it and end it in a way so that it was a positive experience and your really learned something from it.
Just make sure you try to stay away from academic stuff
The essay is meant to give you an opportunity to tell them what was going on besides what your transcript & resume shows.

Thanks this is just what I needed

Blazen > The essay you sent me was along the lines of the kind of essay they were looking for. I dont know if that was your rough draft or final but it had a lot of errors. Grammar & Punctuation. & i Know my reply does too but i could care less
