I’ve heard all forms of answers, so at this point I’m a bit confused.
The basic consensus I’ve found is that you should wear something formal, but nothing too formal, like a suit.
So a button up shirt, tucked into khakis (no jeans), perhaps with a tie.
Does this sound ok?
I have to set up an interview with this attorney for Georgetown soon, and there are probably 5 more schools I’ll have to have interviews for.
Another thing I wasn’t sure about was this talk about bringing a resume. I thought the purpose of an interview was to not talk about what the admissions office would see, but instead get to know the applicant. . .so is bringing nothing ok?

Your outfit sounds perfect. Make sure you wear nice shoes (oh, and instead of a tie, I would wear a nice sweater over your shirt). For my Gtown interview I brought a resume and a copy of my transcript- I was very glad I did because it spurred all kinds of discussion, not so much about what I've accomplished, but about my interests (which are clearly reflected in the activities I do). Good luck!

Do a search on this thread as as many parents who are alumni interviewers have provided input to this question. In addition, on the parents forum there is still an active thread for interview advice (and question students shouls ask and be prepared to answer) which has been composed by a number of parents who alre also alumni interviewers (Nothstar mom- Harvard, Soozievt-Tufts, Brown, MIT)
all the best
