Tisch Cinema Studies

<p>Is anyone else going to NYU Tisch for Cinema Studies (this year or in previous years)? I haven't really seen anyone on these boards mentioning it; I suppose it results from the fact that it's such a small program, but I'd still expect to see a few people. Anyway, until a few days ago, I was planning to attend USC CNTV Critical Studies, but after a phone call from Ken Sweeney, the program coordinator (he discussed the philosophy of the program and the fact that it is possible to take a few production courses), and a close consideration of my family's financial situation (USC is going to cost around 6K more per year), I'm really leaning toward NYU.</p>

<p>So what does everyone else think of Cinema Studies at Tisch (even if you're not planning to be in the program)? I probably need to make a decision today, so I don't know if I have time to factor in any new information, but it would still be great to talk to current/future Cinema Studies/NYU students about the program or anything else.</p>

<p>I had a similar problem -- not deciding which school to go to, but trying to find other people going to Cinema Studies that could get pumped up with me.</p>

<p>The best I found was two people on Facebook who are going to Cinema Studies @ Tisch next fall, and one girl I met who decided on Wellesley or USC, I can't remember.</p>

<p>Anyway, I hope you made up your mind and went for NYU. I'm also from Pennsylvania (from Stroudsburg, on the far east border of PA and New Jersey). Tisch was my top choice and I cannot wait. Ahh I hope you chose NYU and I hope you get this message so we can get excited together.</p>
