I applied to Tisch film and haven’t heard back yet so we are all in the same boat~</p>
<p>Tisch film has about 20-25 percent acceptance rate.</p>

<p>I’m not sure about the acceptance rate, but I do know that there are about 250 film production students in each class of undergraduate Tisch.</p>

Nervous as hell, but apparently Tisch is later in the batch pile to get sent out.
Or at least it’s been that way in the past.

<p>If you look at the 2013 ED acceptance thread, Stern seems to be the latest batch pile to get sent out. CAS, Tisch & LSP seem to be the first few. The majority of the people who got into Tisch last year knew of their acceptance / rejection by 15th December. A few letters may reach a little later (I want to say around the 18th?), which I think depends upon when your artistic review took place.</p>

GPA: 3.4 UW, 3.82 W (I’ve taken 7 APs)
ACT: 32 (35 R, 32 Sci, 27 M, 33 E, 9 essay)
School doesn’t rank (Los Angeles, CA)
ECs: tons of film work including internship at a set for 2 months for a professionally produced short film, newspaper editor, mentoring program (advisor), community service at LARMH (200+ hours), piano (12 years), cashier at local restaurant</p>
<p>Hey radio rabbit, I’m pretty worried about my GPA too! I have a 3.65 weighted. I’m not sure what the unweighted is, but probably not much lower. Maybe around a 3.55? My school is really difficult though. I’ve taken 5 honors classes and 2 APs, including this year.
I got a 2050 superscore on the SATs.
For ECs I have 10 years piano, 11 years dance, 8 years flute, 2 years trio, 3 years school orchestra, 4 years key club, Soprano II Section Leader in a 16-person all-female choir, President of my school’s Photography club for a year. I did a film summer program in 2008 and also in 2009 (earned 3 AP credits).</p>
<p>I honestly feel that what will get me in is my portfolio. How did you guys feel about yours?</p>
<p>If anything is going to get me in, it’s going to be my portfolio. My GPA is a 2.7. It’s ridiculous, I know, but I would hate myself if I didn’t at least apply.</p>
