Tisch HS Summer Program?

Yeah I totally understand, like I am thankful that at leat I’m waitlisted, especially as a sophomore, and I definitely have been looking into other programs, and will look into them further, but I’ve heard some greath things about Tisch’s high school program! and yes, I have so much school crap to catch up on :frowning: but im still gunna remain optimistic all april in hope for an open spot

Thanks for the awesome motivation :)

Got an acceptance email for dramatic writing today. Woot. Full ride!

Azizi, if you don’t make it this time (though you very well could), definitely apply next year! To be even waitlisted as a Sophomore is a pretty great accomplishment! I was flat out rejected last year and, when I applied this year, I got in! You’re definitely going in the right direction, and if it doesn’t happen for you this year, if you keep up what you’ve been doing (whatever impressed the admissions officers this time around), I’ll bet that things will be going your way next year! Though, who’s to say that things won’t go your way this year???

I was waitlisted for drama yesterday but at least its not a no ok hoping ill hear back soon! Congrats to everyone who was accepted. I’m in nyc now for spring break and stopped by nyu and it looks like you all will have an amazing time! Alana what were you accepted for? does anyone know of instances where people were waitlisted for drama and later accepted

Thanks megasinger! these posts make me feel great hahaa

and occ421, good luck to you, we’re practically on the same boat here and I think soozievt was just talking about an instance where a drama student was accepted after being waitlisted for 2 and 1/2 weeks

occ:
I was accepted for film. :D

that’s so great for all of you who got in. Did they call you all or was it also an email? Like what do you have to do to reserve your spot??

congrats again to all of you! Did they call to let you know you were accepted or what? And you said the deadline for confirmation was the 22nd right? So I guess that’s around when ill hear about the waitlist?? also hass anyone heard of any accepted drama students?

I got an e-mail when I was accepted. By the 22nd, accepted students must reserve their spot in the program by paying half their tuition (if you have a full scholarship, don’t worry about it) and filling out and sending back a confirmation form that was linked to in the acceptance e-mail. Students who don’t send their confirmation back in time may be placed on the wait list.

wait what? so if you don’t send in your confirmation your put on the waitlist with others?
if your accepted and dont pay and are put on the wait listed do you think they’ll put you like ‘in the back of the line’ or still in front of people like me who were waitlisted directly?

and Im guessing I should now hope for an e-mail with an attachment after the 22nd

“Confirmations are processed on a rolling basis. Students who submit these
materials after the deadline may be moved to the waitlist.”

I was also wait listed.

Very disappoint, especially since I was rejected last year.

Scrambles- for which program did you apply to?

I applied for the filmmaker workshop.

OMG Full ride in dramatic writing!

For those of you who received a scholarship, do you have any idea why?

They are need based scholarships…that’s all i know.

Yeah, we had to send in tax forms and all that jazz.

Does anyone know how many people are on the waitlist?? Like estimated

No idea.
I imagine you can email and ask.
