Hi!
I guess this is a FAQ but I really have no idea of which school to apply to...
I love acting, singing and dancing so much.
I want to learn lots of vocal technique, but I also want to have a good trainig in acting. I've been dancing since I was four years old, and I want to keep learning. Do these schools have good dance programs?
Thank you so muchhh!!!

Yes. Tisch is fantastic for performing whereas Steinhardt is aimed more towards music education careers.

Thank you!!

Post this in the Musical Theatre forum, you’ll get pretty explicit answers as to their differences.

@youngandtired’s post is incorrect. Music education and musical theater are two separate programs at Steinhardt. Steinhardt’s musical theater program is particularly focused on vocal performance, while at Tisch acting is the focus. The “star” of our high school’s musical theater productions is starting at Steinhardt in a couple of weeks. Both Tisch and Steinhardt produce musical theater professionals. I agree that you’ll get all the details on the MT forum. But keep in mind that both schools require auditions for admission, as well as satisfaction of NYU’s high academic standards, and are very selective (as well as very costly).
