<p>i'm looking into applying to tisch for film but i wondered if it was possible to double major, or even minor, outside of tisch since i know you apply straight to the school. thanks for any help and i'm sorry if this has been asked and answered before, i looked in the big thread on film school but found no answer.</p>

<p>Yes, it is possible to double major or minor outside of Tisch. My son majored in Film but also minored in Philosophy, which is in CAS. He chose to do this so that he would be more well-rounded and also studying philosophy has helped him in terms of making his films.</p>

True you can double major or Minor. However if you apply to TISCH, you can only apply to that school only as your major. Note: If you apply to another school such as Business or Engineering. You will be unable to apply to TISCH. So if you wish to be in film, apply to TISCH first and hopefully you will be accepted. Once accepted and attending NYU, meet with your advisor and he will help you with the double major or minor.</p>

<p>I have not heard much discussion about The Cooper Union , in Manhattan, hear in the forum.
What I've heard it's for the exceptional, impossible to get into, a higher form
of learning, graduate from the cooper and you'll get the best Job prospects.
It rankes up there with yale and prinston. Does anyone know anything about
it and if this is all true. My daughter is very interested , and wants to major in GD. Can anyone help me?</p>
