Note this whole thread is archival. It comes from previous years and ISN"T happening in real time, 2007.

Paying3tuitions....it is good that you point that out to current readers...the thread IS TWO YEARS OLD! until TODAY!

However, just to point out, as you can see from the timeline, it is likely that the Tisch Saturday in the Square invites should be arriving this week based on the history in the past and they do come before admissions letters on April 1.

Eh. You people don't make sense. I made a couple comments about this on a different Saturday in the Square thread, and it had been bumped up to the top for a few days. Eh.

I said on the other forum that I knew someone in the Bronx area that had received their invitation already.

It's happening. Yay...

My D received an invitation in the mail yesterday to Saturday at the Square.

Daughter received her invitation to Saturday at the Square today!!! Woohoo!!

Very happy for you guys! Try to go to this event. It is really fun and helpful. They have students available also for you to talk to at the informal part of the reception.

I just got my Saturday At the Square invite today too!!! I live about an hour and a half from the city, so they're on their way. Goog luck everyone!!

Good for you! So exciting!

My d got her '07 SSQ invite today, so she called admissions to find out if she had been accepted, since she didn't have the letter yet. They told her that yes, she was in (we don't know if she's in CAP21 or ATC yet, though) and that letters will go out about April 1. Apparently they want everyone to have a chance to make travel arrangements, so they send out the invitations to accepted Tisch students early. What a way to find out!

I don't think the kidlet's gonna make SSQ, though, since I'll probably be looking for a van down by the river to live in for the next four years while I send all my money to Tisch. Here's hoping for financial aid. ACK.

Congrats to everyone else who got in! We're really excited for - and proud of - the kiddo. Looks like she won't have to go to school in Missouri after all :)

Congratulations. The studio assignments come out about a week later than the official acceptance letters which come on April 1. The studio assignments generally come before the SSQ event. They do not come WITH the acceptance letter to NYU/Tisch.

Kudos to your D on her exciting news. I hope the FA letter is just as great.

Way to go, everyone!!! :D

I got the invitation today! On it, it says "for students admitted to the class of 2011) and I asked to only be considered for CAP21, so I guess that's good news!
To everyone who has already received it, congrats! And to everyone waiting, I hope the good news comes soon..

Can I park my van next to yours!!! My son got in as well. and he is jumping up and down the hallways here at the high school, as am I. God is good!

I plan to major in photography and I got one!
I still can't believe that this means i've got in. everyone is telling me this is what it means. but im not going to tell anyone else until i have the admissions decision in my hands.

HousePetMarla, on your invitation, underneath "Saturday at the Square", it should say "for students admitted to the class of 2011" -- I take it that means you are in! Good LUck!

"Saturday at the Square", My son called the phone number on the card and was informed, that YES it was sent to students who have been admitted. YEAH!!!!

I got one!!!! I FREAKED out in front of my mom who was on the phone with my aunt. So PLEASE tell me that i'm in!! PLEASE!

Call the phone number on the card and they will tell you!

now that im breathing properly.

is the invitation any indication that you are being considered for some kind of scholar program or scholarship. i know alot of people are invited and they all can't recieve a scholarship but are all scholarship winners invited?

yeah, i called and they said i've been admitted definitely!

Marla, congrats. The invitation is only indication that you are invited to an event for accepted students. It is not an indication of a scholarship. Many who attend Saturday in the Square do not necessarily get a scholarship. On the other hand, those who may receive a scholarship likely are ALSO invited to Sat. in the Square since it is for accepted students they wish to attract to matriculate. So an invitation doesn't equal scholarship. But scholarship winners likely are also in the invite pile.

Very happy for all of you who received good news.
