title of valedictorian.

If your school doesn't rank, does your school give the title of valedictorian to highest GPA student?

My school doesn’t rank and doesn’t have a valedictorian.

Doesn’t rank, does have Val and Sal.

When a school says it “doesn’t rank”, it means they don’t release their ranks to universities–usually because the GPA is scaled in such a way that a student who has a lower rank might still have a high GPA.

Obviously, if your school uses grades, there is going to be a way to rank students based on GPA, and the students with the highest GPAs are going to near the top and competing for valedictorian.
