To all ED applicants

Congratulations if you were accepted. Cal Poly is not an easy admit. You should be proud of the work you’ve put in to get yourself to this point.

If you were deferred, you are still in the hunt. Don’t lose hope. More importantly though, if you are not ultimately accepted, there is light at the end of the tunnel. About 80% of students surveyed are very happy with the school they attend, regardless if it was their first, middle or last choice school. Of the 20% who aren’t satisfied, many attended their first choice school. From this we can learn a great truth, it’s not the college that matters, it is what we make of it.

Good luck to you all. It’s an exciting time of life!

I see you’ve made 1,000 posts here on CC! If this was your 1,000 I think it was perfect. I’d just like to say thank you for all your posts because they were helpful to so many – not just me.

Although I was deferred, I’m still trying to be hopeful for RD.

Congrats to all who were accepted!

@‌ eyemgh Nice post.

@greenteagirl1997: Too bad Poly’s admission system is so automated because it seems you have shown a lot of maturity and character in this process. Hopefully it is Poly that ends up with you, but whatever school you go to will be lucky to have you.
