Anyone feel like going to Michigan will be just like high school? I mean there's gonna be like 25 kids form my high school going there, and that makes U-M pretty unattractive to me. I guess it's not their fault.

I asked my daughter what she thought of your question. She says: there are usually about 40 kids a year from her school who go to Michigan. She is not worried about it. The school is big. If you room blind, you get the chance to meet a new bunch of people. If you want to hang out with old friends, you can, but there are lots of others to meet, and you can expand your horizons. It is not at all like high school where every day you see the same people. In Ann Arbor you meet new people every day..

The_Chronic, naturally, if some of those students are good friends of yours, you will see them. As for the others, it is up to you whether you hang out with them or not. But when 99.99% of the students at Michigan are complete strangers to you, I would not worry too much about running out of new people.

no way.
i had 60 just from my high school class. and many more i knew from before, and it didn't feel that way at all. the difficulty of the courses will take that away from you.
and you will meet new people.

Hahaha. like everyone stated before I am not too worried about it. All the kids that got accepted from my school aren't that much like me because they dont really party. At all. So I probably won't run into them

Plus TheChronic420, it's Ann Arbor. For students, like us, who love "The_Chronic" it's a no brainer that we would go to Michigan. They love bud as much as we do!

The only thing I am worried about attending U of M is going in blind. I'm afraid that I will screwed over with a roomate that's a an inconsiderate study bug, no social skills, is afraid of girls, doesn't love the chronic, and is uptight. That's the only thing I'm afraid of.

Anyone here have the same fear as me for a roomie? Cause it's freakin me out.

hockey31- I know what you mean. I'm nervous about going in blind to but a lot of people I knew that went in with friends said they'd wished they didn't. But I'm nervous about that too!

I love that so few kids from my school go to U-M (only 4 from the class of 2008!).
SO many go to MSU, it's ridiculous. Don't get me wrong; it's not a big deal. MSU is still my #2 choice.
