A poster sent me an email regarding recent discussions on the forum. By the way, to this poster, I tried to email you back immediately and you must have disabled the email function as it would not deliver to you. You asked if I would post something about what is happening on this forum. You stated: "everybody should be allowed to view (did you mean "voice"?) their opinions, etc., without feeling like they are being attacked."

Here is my response:
We monitor the forums to make sure that posters follow the terms of service. I have not observed posters attacking you or any other posters. I think how you perceive the posts is within but do not see the posts having any intent toward "attacking". Until recently, I have not observed ANY adversity on the Musical Theater Forum. I see some now because some posters are taking posts personally that are not meant as personal or to be critical or adversarial. If the meaning of the posts are taken another way by a reader other than in the spirit it was intended, we cannot help that. But we will continue to monitor to make sure posters follow the posting rules. I hope you continue to participate.

To everyone else, I believe this forum has and will continue to be extremely helpful and supportive. The dialogue normally is very respectful and is very easy to monitor because people self monitor. We hope everyone continues to post in this manner. As well, we hope that readers do not "read into" intent of other well meaning posters or feel personally attacked by others' views. Certainly if we observe "attacks" we will take care of it. But I have not been observing that intent here among posters. I think some posters may be taking well meaning posts as "attacks" due to their own feelings but not ever meant by the person(s) who wrote the posts.

I hope we can return to the wonderful interchange on here that has been the norm.
