To all those deferred/rejected...

What are your back-up choices now? Other schools you're applying to?
Mine are:
Boston U (already applied to meet Merit aid deadline)
U of Southern California (already applied to meet Merit aid deadline)
Cornell
Princeton
Harvard
Duke
Northwestern
Penn
WashU
UMass (?)

goodluck to everyone on their regular apps! :)

My big list is:
Princeton
Stanford (not any more :()
MIT
Brown
Cornell
Michigan
Penn
Johns Hopkins
Carnegie Mellon
Tufts

Now I'm not even sure I should apply to Princeton or MIT, and I'm not sure on my chances at a lot of other schools. Rejection sucks.
I also have to complete any apps I want to do in like 2 weeks with the exception of Michigan so pretty much my life lacks certainty and I am completely confused and lost. Thank you Stanford.

Mine are

UCs (done)
USC (done)
Northwestern (done)
WashU (done)
Penn (25% done)
MIT (75% done)
Cornell (50% done)
Harvey Mudd (50% done)

and of course, Stanford, now waiting to reverse a deferral.

I guess i can say that I expected the outcome, lol

to deferred kids,

is there anywhere we can send that optional update form online or does it absolutely have to be by mail? my handwriting can be rather ugly...

got into U of M today.

Stanford did not accept me.

I was deferred.

Other choices are Northwestern, Harvard, Williams

4 UCs, Cal Poly and USC. Apps all done. Heavy odds on public school tuition now. Yay for half price!

5 UCs
Cornell
JHU
UPenn
Northwestern

if i hadn't gotten deferred i wouldnt have to do 4 more apps this vacation
joy.

Still hoping....for Stanford anyway. It is an awesome school. Any advice to increase chances the next round? It's too late to take SAT's again.

Well I guess you can still take the Jan. SAT and then send those in.. since the update form is due in March 1.

Put the piece of paper in your printer, karen.
