To all transfers

Anyone hear a thing yet? im still waiting, am i alone?

you're not alone dude. aggravating, huh?

somebody else applied to the exact same progam I did, as a transfer, and got accepted weeks ago. what gives, eh?

does anyone know if they send out rejection and acceptances at the same time, or rejections AFTER acceptances go out?

a good friend of mine still hasnt heard. shes applying for kiniseology with a 3.3 gpa. They requested her spring grades and she just dropped them off last week. They said she should hear in a "few weeks."

i called usc this morning, and after faxing ANOTHER copy of my transcripts and having him assure me it was in his hand he also said that many transfers will probably not hear by the end of this month. they said that they got 2000 more applications than expected. great. this won't help with finding a place to live, beacause im sure on campus will be booked. for the amount of tuition they charge, can't they afford to properly staff their admissions office?

i took my grades down to USC today and personally handed it to admissions and got a nice yellow recipt for it. She said i should expect a response within 2 weeks. I am very excited. I finished my spring semester with a 4.0 gpa.

2,000 more applications than what they expected!!! I'm really losing hope now! :-(

At least they have my Spring Grades on file. I called them last Friday and they said, "you are all set". :-)

"I finished my spring semester with a 4.0 gpa"

same here.. i sent in my spring grades about a week and a half ago, and still havnt gotten a reply (i got a spring grade request in mid may). hopin to get one soon, wish me luck and all the best to you all : )

i wish the same for you as you wish for me. hopefully we'll see eachother there in the fall!

just got my packet today. been waiting a long time, and i finally got in :).. i received a spring grades request nearly a month ago, and i sent an unofficial final transcript on june 9th, so it pretty much takes two weeks. good luck to you all again.

pRosmat3c, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! i'm very happy for you. can i ask for your gpa and major again please? and did you mail your transcript on june 9th or did you deliver or fax it? not even took 2 weeks in either case, but am very eager to know, get back to me. best of luck!

hey student4u. thanks bro.. major is political science, applied from cal state fullerton with a GPA of 3.8. they admitted me at sophomore standing though, so im thinking im a couple of courses short. as for mailing the transcript in, i sent it priority on june 8th and received a confirmation that they received it on june 9th from good ol' USPS. hope this helps, and thanks again. keep me posted on your decision, it'll come soon, hang in there. best of luck again..

congrats my man. see you in the fall.

wow, im a polysci too. Hopefull we'll end up in some of the same classes. thanks for your kind wishes.

So if one has not received the request for the spring semester grade at this point, I assume he/she does not any chance for being admitted.. Then, why USC doesn't send out the rejection letter - to spare the agony?

just to make sure - spring grades are NOT usually requested for junior level transfers?

haven't received a thing yet...just checked my PO box today. nada.

pRosmat3c, did you get anything new on the status of your financial aid? and if so, is it fair? does it cover ur expectations and needs(whatever they may be since i don't know ur economic situation)?

hey student4u, i'll be honest, money is not an issue for me, and im not eligible to receive any financial aid (state, federal or any for that matter). i am glad, however, that i was able to save up a lot of money by going to CSUF for my first two years. but to answer your question, i have no clue about financial aid.

Yea, i did not qualify for a penny of aid either, which I was disappointed to learn, but expected. My parents are able to pay for it, but we are not rich by any means. This school is expensive as hell
