to all who have applied where under your application status will you see whether or not you have been accepted?

In the top right hand corner where it says "app. status" -- when you first apply it says "application on file". When that changes to either "conditional" or principal" you are good to go.

How long do they usually take after your application has been completed? also which is better conditional" or principal"

Principal is better :) It means that you have met all the requirements, have all the items in and you are going to get your official appointment. There are admission boards that meet regularly and KP does have rolling admissions but, it can take up to 3 days before or even the day before indoc for you to know (unlikely that long, but it is possible). Hang in there!!! It is worth the wait. :D

so what does conditional exactly mean? What will it say if you are not accepted?...

Seakid a conditional status means that your appointment is conditioned upon something, for example, passing DoDMerb, getting a nomination, getting final grades or whatever. If you have a conditional appointment I suggest you call Admissions and ask them what it is conditional upon so you can get whatever they need.

My daughter's application was completed in mid november... and since then it has said
"Application on File"

but most recently there were a few other changes..

Nomination yes
CFA Pass

Medical Status Pending <<this one still bugs me

J Collins, we found that it seemed to take extra long for paperwork to get from DODMERB to KP. D's admissions counselor eventually had her scan and email a copy of everything we had. Her waiver came through and she had an appointment within a week. So if you have a copy of your D's qualifying letter from DODMERB, you might want to see if KP would like a copy. I might speed things up.

I have to put in a plug here for the KP Admissions staff. They were the best we dealt with - friendly, efficient and always helpful and encouraging!

I have to agree about the KP staff.. well atleast the Lt that we are dealing with ...He is very professional and personable also..

Actually my D was DQ'ed and has been in for a waiver (her file is in DC).. she was on allergy shots within the last year so that is reason to DQ, even though we discontinued shots in Sept.

We were also waiting on waivers, with the added complication of mail delays from living overseas. KP had never received copies of her remedials or other followup paperwork. We were shocked at how quickly things moved when we sent them copies directly.

I wish your daughter luck with that process!

How often do they update the application status page.

The passing of the CFA was within a Day.. the Nomination was within a few days of us getting the phone call... so they seem pretty efficient with it.
