Vagrant Star: Thank you so much for starting this thread, I've been telling people the same thing, to stop complaining about their 2250s just because it wasn't a 2300 (heck, I even saw a few people whine about 2300s because it wasn't a perfect).

Furthermore, the SAT 1 and ACT combined/composite scores are a joke...The highest scores always bleong to the reading/literature types of student rather than the mathematically/scientifically inclined. Reason is that it is A LOT easier for one who is a reader type to get a 720 or whatever on Math than it is for a Math guy to get the same on CR or even Verbal. Plus, 2/3 of the SAT is english.. On the ACT the science area is all common sense and is more about reading than mathematical conclusions you make. I consider 3/4 of that test to be rigged towards the reader types out there.

I'm a math person with a 34ACT composite...so while it is ridiculous for people to complain about a 2280, it's equally ridiculous to complain about the test being rigged towards certain people. It's also, to a point, ridiculous to complain about people who complain about their 2280s. There have been countless threads on the subject.

scholarships that award only based on test scores are stupid.

Why do you guys care so much if we want higher scores? It's like when somebody with a 100 avg in a class complains about getting a 94 on a test. Everyone else moans and is like "shut up I'd kill for a 94". Yeah a 94 is still a good score, but its subpar for someone who's been getting 100s all year round.

The same thing applies to people on the SAT. I got a 1500/1600 with a 700 on math. I knew how to do almost every question on the math part, but made dumb mistakes. I feel like my score doesn't represent my ability, so I'm still debating whether i should retake in the fall.

LOL @ madskier... ahh funny stuff.
