It's becoming an obsession. I want to get into an Ivy like crazy. (Please,) if you've been accepted to an Ivy, or are applying to one, send me your essay through a PM so I can get an idea of what direction I should be heading. I promise to keep your essays and personal information private. Please and thank you!

bump. anyone

I hate doing this, but…bump?

ahhhhh I’m going crazy.bump

why do you want to get into an Ivy? I know and recognize that they are mostly very fine institutions, but do you even know the very different distinctions and styles of each Ivy? You should really consider fit before jumping at an ivy just for its prestige/brand name.

I’ve visited some, and basically, I couldn’t help but desire to go to one. Of course, I have other considerations beyond the Ivies, but I’m looking for essays that are worthy of any top college.

My only warning would be that each ivy has a very, very different style and that you can’t possibly want to go to all of them if you have a consistent view. Some are huge, some are small-ish. Some have graduate universities. Some don’t. Some are in the middle of a city. Some are in the middle of nowhere. I could go on and on. Make sure you research each one before applying – because even if you have a pile of acceptances, if you don’t find your fit, you probably won’t be happy at that college.

Not to be totally unhelpful – a few threads down from this is my thread, where you can find instructions to getting a copy of my essay. good luck on your college app processes.
