I am still considering an internal transfer to a dual degree/Wharton from the College. I know a 3.4 is “to be considered” but in general the cutoff is above a 3.6 according to the faculty here. I’m not worried so much about the 3.6, but what about something around 3.8? I have a 3.93 after the first semester and I am anticipating a potential drop (had a crappy midterm yesterday). Even if I have, say, a 3.85 or something around there, is it still in the safe range for transfer (looking over past trends) or is the “well above 3.6” statement more like “well above 3.9”?

Last year, people who actually transferred to Wharton were in the 3.8 range.

I don't know about dual degrees.

Dual degrees and Internal Transfers are in the same pool so it isn't harder or easier either way I think.

Now by transfers I mean internal and not external -- the 3.8 range you would say is for internal?

actually a 3.6 was around the cut-off. a few of my friends made the transfer with a mid 3.6.

I sent a PM

yeah, i know plenty of people who have transferred/applyied and gotten accepted for dual degree's with a 3.6, which is the normal range for such a thing
