the deal is my considering AP Gov't & Politics. I kind of want to take it - be it for actual interest in our gov't or to prove something to myself, I still have to decide. Yet, the problem is, the only teacher that teaches it is a complete jerk. Very much so of a jerk. He only likes football players and his JV Basketball team girls. There is a rumor he gets friendlier to seniors/AP gov't kids, but if he doesn't like you (he tends to hunt on republicans) then you're practically dead. I doubt he'll like me very much, yet...I'm still considering the class.
I'm wondering if I should let the teacher scare me off or not. Opinions?

I think you should at least take the AP exam. If the teacher is that extreme take an online course or self-study(if possible, i'm not sure how easy that will be).

The only reason I don't want to do that is the fact that I want the AP credit on my GPA.
He also teaches the regular for 6 months, and a senior I was talking to said you might as well deal with him for a year to get the GPA add-on.

see if you can deal with him, if not you can always drop

i would take the AP course. there are cases at my school like that, and the only choice would be to just get stuck with the teacher. just don
t get on his nerves a lot and annoy him. it
ll make life a lot better for you and for him. of course, if things don't work out, you can always drop, like what celebrian said.
