To apply EA or not to apply EA...that is the question

I'm in love with the University of Colorado Boulder (on paper as I've never been there) and I want to attend. Unfortunately I had a rough junior year (I took really hard math courses which I shouldn't have because I'm seriously horrible at math and I actually might be learning diabled in math but I haven't gotten officially tested yet- anyway I spent so much time trying to understand my math that I didn't study as much for everything else and as a result ended up with bad grades)

Theatre 2- B plus
Honors Spanish 3- C plus
Trig- D plus (I had a B/ Cplus all year and then I got a 10 F on my final even after studying for days)
AP U.S. History- C plus
AP English Language- B
Honors Chemistry- C plus
Service Learning 1-A plus

I actually had all A's and B's as my semester grades second semester, first semester was like A's, B's, and like 3 C pluses due to horrible mid-term grades.

Anyway my GPA is a 3.39/ Top 26% of my class :P and that sucks. I'm out of state and I've heard of a lot worse candidates that got into the University. I have really good Extra Curriculars, I've been published in a magazine, I have a lot of community service hours, I have won awards. My grades from the other years have been all A's and B's in all Honors courses. My SAT scores are CR- 630, Math- 520, Writing- 580.

I want to apply EA just so I'll know if I'm in so I can plan accordingly. I mean I'd be moving from Virginia to Colorado. There's a lot of stuff I'll need to do including making the trek out there to check out the campus before I accept the offer. I just feel like I need to know if I'm in earlier rather than later.

Should I risk applying EA with the knowledge that if I get rejected I will be unable to apply Regular Decision? Or do I at least look like I could get deferred in which case they'd see my senior grades which are all A's and B's in 4 AP/ 3 Honors courses.

bump? please?

buummmmppppp :stuck_out_tongue: I need to figure out what I want to do by Monday so I can request my transcripts and SAT scores and teacher recs.

I’m sorry *Wednesday. We’re out for the hurricane.
