I was working on a scholarship app, but due to commitments I can’t finish it today. It must be postmarked tomorrow (Sunday), but alas the post office isn’t opened then. Do you think slipping it innocuously into the mail could hurt. I know scholarships can be strict, however, seeing this organization extended the deadline already leads me to suspect they don’t have many applicants. Should I call in addition, or see if it’ll slip by?
Put it in the mail.
Try other stores that do meter mail. My grocery store does that. It will have the date on the postage sticker.
Or go to the main post office with Sunday pick up. Legally, if you put it in the mail it is mailed on the date you drop it in the box, but proving that is hard if it isn’t post marked. Just go to the post office.
Use the automated machine to buy postage and it will have the day you buy it.
