ok the stanford app is due dec 1 (yipes!) and i havent started it at all. ive been focusing on other schools (that i have a decent to good shot at getting in)...

im an asian girl: 1380 sat, and 800 (writing), 690 (math 2), and 700 (lit).

i have dece EC's, and awesome rec's but nothing CRAZY spectacular that will catch the admissions officer's eyes.

does anyone think i should apply (i mean, why not just give myself the CHANCE), or just NOT apply and spend the next few days improving my UC app (which might work out better in the long-run, since stanford will most likely reject me)

helpsss

oh and happy thanksgiving, i cant believe im on this site on thanksgiving

knowing little about you (GPA? Rank?) its hard to say what you're chances are, but I understand what you're worried about. Stanford likes high SATs, and you have nice scores. Just because you haven't saved anyone from a burning building or been the number one squash player in the nation doesn't mean you cant MAKE anything stand out about you. I'd say go for it, but do spend more time on the U.C. apps. Btw, those are due REALLY soon, so send them tmrw or sat at the latest...

i dunno if i said this earlier, but additional info is that im in the top10% of my class, with a 3.85 UW gpa (we dont weight at my school), and ive taken all available honors AP courses. i KNOW stanford wants a 1450+, so will my weak 1380 even COMPARE to other applicants...i dont want to spend time on something that will end up in an inevitable rejection, and at the same time, take precious time away from that UC app
