To aspiring pre-health neural science majors

Over the pre-health listserve (pre-med, pre-dent, pre-vet), the preprofessional advisors very recently sent out an email with an attachment regarding neurosci and pre-health. The attachment is titled "Four-Year Plan for Neural Science Majors Who Are Pre-Health!" I'm reproducing the body of the email here:

Please download and print out the attached file, which has a four-year plan and reviews the requirements of the Neural Science major. Printed copies of it will be available in Silver 901 next week.

The short version of the story: anyone who wants the NS major should be taking both Bio and Chem as a freshman (just like potential Bio majors). As sophomores, NS majors will take a full year of Physics (Orgo Chem does not fit in until they are juniors), and their fall semester will include Intro to NS and Molec/Cell Bio I in addition to Physics.

Should you be interested in the contents of the attachment itself, which covers a recommended course sequence and requirements for the major, as well as information about Honors, please leave a message here. I don't want to upload this file to the Internet because 1) it's not clearly marked as being from NYU, and there's no need to strike panic into the hearts of aspiring Yalies, for example, and 2) it's not necessary for the whole wide world to see.

Wow, thanks. I'm entering as a neural science major. I'm a bit surprised by the full year of physics..

I'm interested in a copy too! Thank you!!!

Reaction to physics: gah! Hope those AP credits can get me out of at least one semester of it.

i'm a neural science major and sophomore yr (next yr) i am taking physics and intro to NS. there's no way i'm going to take both of those classes along with molec cell. i'll die. so i'm going to spread the science classes out. im pre-med and i also plan on doing a journalism double major as well. my advisor told me it can be done, but i probably wouldn't be able to do the honors track in the NS major. can u send me a copy, shades? many thanks.
