To those of you who are attending, what schools did you turn down to go to Minnesota? Also, what choice was the University of Minnesota? There was a thread like this a few years ago.

alright, well ive seen all my financial aid for all my schools, and behold, minnesota is giving me the best deal lol. im only payin 7k to go here, and everywhere else is askin for at least 25k.so, golden gophers ftw. but yea i got in all the Big Ten schools except OSU, and they all suck with aid… im still waitin for NW tho… theyd give me everything payed for if i got in cuz im poor as s**t lol but idk if ill get in.

University of Illinois -Urbana - Accepted.

Illinois Institute of Technology - Honors College - Scholarship.

University of Minnesota Accepted - CBS. Will be attending, assuming that I qualify for a little more money. Awaiting merit/financial aid awards to finalize the decision.

I’m already a freshman at the U, but here goes:

University of Illinois - UC - Accepted - Merit scholarships were pathetic compared to OOS costs
University of Massachusetts - Amherst - Accepted with scholarship
University of Washington - Seattle - Accepted (apparently no merit scholarships to OOS?)
Yale - Denied (Probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it anyways…)
U of M - Obviously

updated:
Boston College - waitlisted - turned down spot on the waitlist.
Duke U. - Rejected. (couldnt afford anyways)
U. Notre Dame - Rejected. (couldnt afford anyways)

and im STILL waiting to hear from UNC Chapel Hill - seems veryyyy unprofessional to say your giving out decisions within a week (2 1/2 weeks ago) and NOT give them out to everyone. and now its after april 1st!

Yea that’s like with michigan… They’ve just left a really bad taste in my mouth. I submitted my app early decision, n they were like oh, you’ll hear by December 24th. So they deferred me like December 11, and then they said they were gonna release by April 1st, n jeez it just keeps goin on and on. I mean it doesn’t matter now, cuz I live and die with minnesota lol, but s**t id still like 2 kno anyways
