to be a specialist with your own practice

Shrinkrap, we say dude all the time... why, is it bothering you??? lol so what are you even doing on this site, aren't you like 30 or something??? now thats weird

BluedevilMike, I think it's nearly impossible for any specialist whether he be the most elite in his profession to have $1 million annually in spending power. I mean you pretty much contradicted yourself when you mentioned " some physicians -- it's rare, but some -- make a million in INCOME, that specifically referred to " pre-tax income".Taxes would cut that in half, and later on you mentioned " super-elite plastic surgeons having $1M annually in spending power."

Going back to your definition of " spending power" or take home pay, it doesn't make sense how one could actually
TAKE HOME 1 MILLION IN SPENDING POWER.. SINCE YOU EVEN SAID, THAT THOSE WHO MAKE A MILLION IN INCOME, is specifically reffered to pre-tax income. And Taxes would cut that in half

So for plastic surgeons to make a million in spending power would mean the following:
1) His pre-tax income would be around or close to 2 million
2) charges ridiculously high prices for surgery ( say $5000 per package)
3 Referring back to how much he charges, he would have to avg A LOT of customers around 30 per month to avg around 150k per month which would mean 1.8 million per yr( pre-tax income) and with taxes, reduces to 900k in spending power depending on how your business goes( monthly avg will vary since you may have more customers one month compared to others)

But IT COULD BE POSSIBLE, I'm not saying it cannot be done. Chances are, those who do make/ average close to $1 million in spending power are only 1-2% of all surgeons.

Though, you see my point, I doubt any specialist could be able to make 1.8 + million every year as pre-tax income UNLESS he is living in HOLLYWOOD or something.

You don't seem to understand the meaning of the word "imagine." The specific phrase I used was that I cannot imagine anybody except some "super-elite" plastic surgeons with $1M in spending power.

I didn't say that plastic surgeons DO make that kind of money. I said that it's imaginable. And I specifically specified that it would be an extraordinarily rare situation by using the phrase "super-elite".

When you take quotes, please quote entire sentences.

aren't you like 30 or something??? now thats weird.....
