<p>th1921–except for the charter school you mentioned, I would expect every val & sal to get admission to U of Georgia!</p>
<p>And if the so-called val & sal at the remedial charter school can’t make it at U of Ga, they’re not being done any favors, either by being top of their class or by gaining admission to the college.</p>
<p>My S had the top GPA as a sophomore, but apparently some girl is on top this year. I could care less and so could he. He’s a good student & works hard for grades, but the ranking has NO influence on what classes he takes. Next year instead of a study hall after the 1 semester AP Govt, he’ll be taking Woodworking. :)</p>
<p>And I definitely would rather see any student be active in ECs and excited about courses and possible majors than worry about the minutiae of grade-grubbing.</p>
