Hi,
I should introduce myself first of all. I am from Poland. I am in the second (out of 3) grade of high school. I attend international program IB. Generally speaking I am a very good student, with high GPA, aiming to pass SAT very well this May. The most important thing about me is that I’ve been passionate about aviation since I was a child. Apart from sport activities, languages (extra curricular), some social projects and volunteering in a community room, I am a glider pilot. This is the thing on which I spend most of my free time.
And there comes the time to choose universities. Well, I’ve always wanted to be a commercial pilot, that’s why I thought ERAU, UND or Purdue would be a great choice. Everything would be simple if I knew exactly how is the pilot market going. I guess there is no chance of getting a job in the USA (however I would like to
), I still would be happy to get one (good one) in the rest of the world (Canada, Australia, Asia, Europe). But is it really that a degree from these schools would help me to achieve my goals? Is it worth the money? Some people say that it is better to make the flight training in a local flight school. I wish I could hear something from international ERAU graduates that are pilots now.
What do you think?
There is an option that I could try to be admitted to one of other good and well known universities (I think there is a chance of getting into one) like Stanford or Georgia Tech for aerospace engineering. Is it more reasonable? I am really thinking a lot about it but I can’t figure anything out.
Cheers!
