To Check or Not to Check

I still am not sure wether or not I would like to check my status on Wednesday. I am pretty sure that it would be much more exciting to wait and receive the envelope in the mail. But I don't know if I can wait! Are all of you checking at 3:30?

I'll be refreshing starting at 3.

I bet the letters come either Friday or Saturday. They'll probably be dropped on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I think i'll just check it wednesday

Of course you willl

there is no way i can wait for that letter! if i were really confident i might but that said......my butt will be planted right here!

I am in China. What "3:30 Eastern Time on Wednesday" means to me is 4:30 AM on Thursday. I will go to bed earlier tomorrow and get up before the dawn to check the exciting "letter"!

apparently the decisions are mailed out today, so ppl will start to receive the actual letters tomorrow or thursday.

they were mailed today????? if you live in the northeast you could get the letter before 3:30. our mail arrives at about 1:00

since it's the holiday season and all, i doubt the letters will arrive by tomorrow. but now i feel obligated to look..and my mail comes at 3 ish. so now i'll be running back and forth from the mailbox to the computer. that will be a sight.

I am debating with myself whether to learn of the decision by mail or on-line.

I'm definitely checking online! it's faster! and plus, i live really far away from dartmouth so the letter may take a while....

i'm nervous for tommorrow!

Even if you live in the Northeast, you won't get the letter tomorrow. From Hanover, the mail has to go through Springfield, MA where it's sent to your address in the Northeast. Mail from Dartmouth gets to NYC like 2 days after so if you really can't wait, check online.

If you do wait for the letter (dont know why you would....) Dartmouth is one of those schools where you know the decision before you even open it up. If youre in, its a big packet. If youre deferred/rejected/waitlisted you get a small envelope.

Yeah I'm in NC so it will definitely take a little bit longer. I don't think I can wait that long.

Here is the worst part. We have Final Exams this week and as a senior, I am exempt from the exams because of my grades. I will be sitting at home all day tomorrow with nothing to take my mind off of Dartmouth. :-(

I'm in San Diego, pretty much as far away from Hanover as you can go in the US (HI doesn't count haha). I'll be checking online in class tomorrow, because 3:30 means 12:30 for me. My teacher wants me to tell the class if I got in or not.

Good luck everyone!

Best of luck, fenix.

I'll be refreshing from 3:00 til 3:30 at school tomorrow also.

There is no way I can wait to check. I don't feel very confident right now so I think I'll just check when I get home from school. Is there a chance that it will be up before 3:30? I have to work on our school newspaper but I want to get home in time.

Good luck to all

(except who are we really kidding when we say that)

I think at least some of the notifications should be up before 3:30.

Ok, thanks. Why would some go up before others though-- would this just be some random ones the computer chooses? Or an alphabetical listing? Why am I so neurotic.
