To Current Students / Graduates... : )

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of registering for courses and I'm nearly done. There's just one thing...I have room for 1 more class which is supposed to fulfill my non-technical elective requirement and for the first time in my SEAS education I have the freedom to choose any class I want!

So, do you guys have any suggestions for interesting classes (3 points or higher)? xD

Thanks!

erik gray: romantic poetry. you won’t be disappointed.

how did you begin your course selection thing? Where did you get the course cd or book, I do have the Seas Bulletin and I have looked through it. I also thought that course selection would come after you meet with your adviser.

I assume goyoungha is a current Columbian student (rising junior/senior?) while you will be a new freshman next year?

if you need a language and havent already signed up, you might as well take that. its a good idea to start getting them out of the way early, they can sneak up behind you later on when you are trying to get your major out of the way.

goyoungha is a current student, they’ve posted in years past.

My suggestions for best nontech classes I took include:

Freedom of Speech and Press, by Lee Bollinger

History of the City of NY, by Ken Jackson

Both are only taught in the fall, the latter only every other year. Take advantage while you can - the All Night Bike Tour in History of NYC is one of my favorite memories from Columbia.
