To dangle some interest...

Here's a list of our ex-college classes for the upcoming semester.

<a href="http://www.excollege.tufts.edu/month.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.excollege.tufts.edu/month.html</a></p>

I plan on taking the pharmaceuticals course.

wow, i didn't know about ex-college. the courses that they listed sound so interesting.

What's ex-college...? Is that when students teach a course of their interest? Or when the school tests out new courses, like experimental college?

Probably yes to all of your questions. Students can teach their own courses provided that they design an outline with approval from the faculty. Visiting professors or professionals can also teach a course of particular interest. Every year many people come to the ex-college committee and present/sell their idea, and the committee has the fun job of choosing which courses will be available for that semester. I don't think any classes are ever repeated, but it seems logical that if one class was so well done that Tufts might adopt it into its regular listings.
