To Drop English?

I have been doing pretty well my first two years. I have a 3.9+ GPA, but am having trouble this quarter with English. I decided to take the intro english course english majors take to satisfy the composition requirement and have not been doing well. Im projecting that I will most likely get a B-/B and at highest a B+. I am currently taking 2 other courses. Also, my friends have told me of easier more applicable english courses that I will perform better in and likely learn more.

Do you think it would be okay to drop my current english class, take 2 courses this quarter and just make up for it the next quarter?

Thanks!

2 courses in a quarter is problematic. Dropping courses is appropriate for a D or an F, borderline for a C, and not wise for a B. Of course, part of the difficulty is that you're not really sure you'll be getting a B.

oh well the minimum number of units is 12 per quarter and if i drop ill be taking 12. the regular number is 13 for a quarter in most cases... I am sure I can do much better in a non English major English course and dont want to suffer through this class. Would it really look bad taking 12 units for one quarter?

Are you sure you can stay a full-time student with just 2 courses? What are these 6-credit courses anyway? Sounds pretty unbelievable to me.

The minimum necessary to be a full-time student is never a good idea. Even one semester of it is pretty bad.

thanks for the help... ive decided to keep the class and just tough it out and do my best. one class isnt going to kill my gpa for good anyways...
