I want to apply early action to either Yale or Georgetown.

Georgetown has more of the "international" feel I want, and it's in my favorite city in the world. But I visited Yale a couple weeks ago and I fell absolutely in love with the whole vibe. The community seems great and the people seem friendly. The only thing that makes me leery of Yale is, again, that lack of a big, "international" city.

I guess this is really something I'll have to resolve myself -- but thoughts?

It is very important to remember that EA at Georgetown is not the same as SCEA at Yale. If you apply EA to Georgetown, the decision is not binding, but you may apply to other EA schools (NOT to ED or SCEA schools). When you apply to SCEA to Yale, you may apply ONLY to Yale early.

The purpose of SCEA is to apply to Yale ONLY if you love the school above all others and are competitive in the applicant pool. You're right, you'll need to decide this for yourself, but you have LOTS of time until next November to see if either of these two schools or perhaps another school "feels" just right to you. Don't try to pick now. And, if you CAN'T pick and there's no other school which you love above all others, applying EA to Georgetown cannot hurt you. Good luck.
