To end the Emma Watson (Hermoine) debate once and for all...

This is getting ridiculous.

Hollywood actress Emma Watson has condemned her fake Internet profile for spreading rumors of her enrollment at Yale University.

The Harry Potter actress blamed bogus profile on Twitter for misinforming fans that she had successfully enrollment in Yale University. Emma revealed that the information was untrue, as she did not even have an account on Twitter and she is still in two minds as to which University to join.

"There have been several rumors spreading recently that Emma has accepted a place at Yale University after ‘‘telling her fans via her Twitter account’’. We would like to inform you that Emma does not have a Twitter account and that these rumors are false,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

"Emma is still trying to decide whether she wants to attend university in the U.K. or the U.S.A. and hasn’'t accepted any placements at this time,” she added.

^ I mean, also; Who gets accepted before March 31st, if they’re ED?

You’d think she would’ve distinguished between a likely letter/admission.

Assuming ,of course, someone admitted to Yale would be silly enough to be ,like, “z0mg, I got admitted, but I might not go, lol. Teh admissions people can’t read this!!1!!111”

hookem and lilscovie, I am sorry to say that both of you are wrong. Don’t believe the things that you read on the internet or hear from others. This may sound blunt (and I suspect you won’t believe me), but you guys don’t have the connections to Yale that I do… Emma Watson never even APPLIED to Yale.

People are just trying to create drama and publicity by posting these false rumors. The cat’s been let out of the bag already regarding where she’s attending college (or university, as they say in her home country)… just not to the mass public (yet).

^ Lol, you’re a Grade-A dumba$$. They released the news on her OWN WEBSITE that she’s still undecided, Einstein.

[The official website of British actress Emma Watson](http://www.emmawatsonofficial.com/#news/show/379)

I’m pretty sure Emma Watson did apply.

Either way, WHAT DOES IT MATTER? She’s in the same position as any of us with regards to choosing where to study. She’ll most likely choose somewhere where everyone isn’t fretting over her. Leave the poor girl alone!

It doesn’t.

BUT OMG OMG SHE IS HERMIONE!!! SHE WAS IN HARRY POTTER… THE MOVIE!!!

We must stalk here. No celebrity is safe from internet scandal or scrutinizing… what makes her special?

Oh and for the record, her apparent Twitter account is set to private, it isn’t an “official” one like other celebrities. So it could just be her and her management have sent out that message to just squash the rumours about all this. Apparently her actual message didn’t say that she accepted a place, just that she was accepted. Which is perfectly likely if she applied Early Action. But of course that would mean The Government is wrong. DUHN DUHN DUUUUUUHHHHNNNNNNN!!!

"She’ll most likely choose somewhere where everyone isn’t fretting over her. Leave the poor girl alone! "

Lol, because males from the ages of 15-22 are going to do that.

Same goes for girls…I hear they dig the whole, female movie star, bit. For different reasons, presumably.

Haha oh dear… poor Emma. Sure she’s a movie star but she’s also just a regular person…

Bah. I work for a band when they tour the UK and they get recognised a fair bit, maybe I’m just desensitised to famous people now.

She did apply - the administration told us as a selling point for my daughter, it was supposed to be a secret at that time.

^ And it couldn’t have been a missile that hit the Pentagon!

If she chooses some school where they aren’t fretting over her, they’ll start fretting over her the day after she shows up on campus. It’s the reality of being a movie star.

When Jodie Foster went to Yale she at first had the illusion of privacy because everybody tried hard to act cool around her. But she was soon disillusioned when an article about her appeared in the paper detailing her every move during freshman orientation, right down to the color of shorts she was wearing while she played frisbee. She soon realized she was being intensely watched all the time - same as if she were still in Hollywood.

Same for Brooke Shields at Princeton. One summer when she was in school she had a summer internship here in San Diego at the San Deigo Zoo. And every afternoon a big crowd would gather around the koala exhibit. Not to look at the cute koalas but to watch Brooke Shields come out wearing her zoo uniform and hard hat and feed the koalas.

College-age celebs sometimes try to live normal lives and do normal college things, but it sure ain’t easy. Not with all the fanboys out there - like some on this thread.

There’s no such thing as a place where people won’t googoo over her.

"Not with all the fanboys out there - like some on this thread. "

Can you imagine being her, and having a CC account?

lol. Either really flattering, or intensely creepy.

Maybe she is here. Maybe she’s me. Or YOU. Who knows.

No. Not at all.

I am not Emma Watson.

But I am.

I jest. :)

There’s a little Emma Watson in all of us… wistful sigh
