To everyone - thank you

Now that this admissions season is wrapping up, it is time for me to say:

to the parents of current applicants:

Thank you for posting your questions, your experiences and your fears. I take great confort in the fact that mine is not the only family struggling to find something better for our children. I've met some lovely people on this forum.

to the current applicants:

Thank you for your enthusiasm, your wit and your passion. It is heartening to know that my children may form friendships with such a talented, articulate and dedicated bunch.

to the parents of current students:

Thank you for sticking around to answer questions, be cheerleaders for you child's school and correct misinformation. The insight that you have on the cultures of these schools is invaluable.

to the current BS students and alum:

What can I say? You take time away from your commitments to tell prospective families about everything from dating and sex and how many hours of homework you have. The passion you have for your school speaks volumes.

to the lurking admissions people :) :

I truly do believe that the care with which you select your students is what makes your schools so special. I trust that whatever decisions my son will receive on the 10th will have been made with much thoughfulness and care. Nobody know your schools and who will thrive there better than you. Thank you for all that you do.

neato – keeping all digits (fingers and toes) crossed for you . Good luck

Because you and your son have a list of schools that he loves, are good matches to his interests and abilities, and offer a range of competitiveness, I think he will have choices. College selection will be easy!

Perhaps next year you could stick around and help the new applicants.

Good luck!

What a lovely thing to say! You’ve been a great presence here, as well. Good luck to you and your son!

I’ll be here next year because I’ll be going through it again with my daughter!

In believing the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, I’m positive your son will have plenty of choices come March 10th.

Good luck to you and your son. I am hoping you have fantastic news on March 10 and lots of options. I like to believe that when you have done your best things work out for the best.

Can’t wait to hear how things turn out for your son, neato. I’m sure it will be excellent news! :-)

You too, I’ve enjoyed ‘speaking’ with you. I hope your son gets lots of choices come March 10th.

Best of luck, neato!

Thanks you all for you well wishes. It’s my son who needs the luck.

well good luck to your son :)

good luck to your son !

No…Neato, **Thank YOU **.

Bump this thread. Neato, you’re one of my favorite people on CC. Good luck to your daughter when she applies!

Good luck everyone!!!

I forgot to thank Al Gore for inventing the internet. Thanks Al! Without you, this community would not be possible! :D

wait he invented the internet?

I thought that was bill gates?

What he said in an interview was
“During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country’s economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system.”

Yeah. It was a joke. (I feel old.)
