To Everyone Who Got an Acceptance Letter....

did you all also get invitations beforehand? Just trying to see if there's anyone who didn't receive an invitation but got an official acceptance letter....

yes I did. :)

I did as well.

i did too.

i got an invitation, no letter yet :/

^Ditto jackiesakura.

I'm hoping it comes soon. I'm really anxious.

If you received an invitation, it means that you have been accepted...you guys know that right? =)

Yeah. I'm just waiting on the financial aid, which is a large factor in whether or not I can attend. I assume that financial aid info comes with the packet that I haven't received yet. :P

At this point, NYU is my top choice, so I'm really hoping they come through with something...

^don't count on it.

^ I don't, particularly. But I have seen quite a few people here receive some moderate aid, need-based and merit-based, so I haven't given up entirely.

i received decent aid, but i still can't afford it. :( sucks because NYU is my first choice.

I haven't gotten my letter, just an invite. And I haven't gotten any financial aid stuff.

I have gotten both. The package is beeeeegggg and poorple. I likes.

what exactly do they consider for merit-based aid if you havent applied for financial aid? just sats/gpa, i thought my stats were pretty high and i didnt get any :(

i got in for GSP but theres nothing about fin aid and the envelope is not purple...i'm kinda sad =( does this mean i get no aid?

oh and i didnt get an invitation.

I did get the invitation and aid info in package. I was thoroughly disappointed with it upon first glance, but now that I've collected myself, I'm checking out all of the ways that I can cut down on the cost of attendance. Don't forget to look at cheaper housing and how your work-study will be used.

Also, it appears that there are university scholarships available only after your first year.

i got an invite 3 weeks b4 i got my acceptance package
