To Everyone Who Submitted Their Housing Application:

When you go to this site (Application Instructions | University Housing), click "apply now," and login with your uniqname and password, do you get this error message?...

"Our system does not recognize you as newly admitted freshman matriculated to the University of Michigan. This web site is for students of that group applying for on-campus housing for Spring/Summer 2010 and/or the 2010-11 academic year.
If you are a newly admitted freshman matriculated to the University of Michigan for Spring, Summer or Fall Term 2010, and you mailed in your enrollment deposit at least two weeks ago, contact the Housing Information Office at housing@umich.edu or 734-763-3164.
If you are a newly admitted undergraduate transfer student and you wish to apply for University Housing, go to Information for Transfer Students for more information. If you are a newly admitted student at the graduate or professional school level, go to Housing for Graduate Students, Students with Families, Faculty & Staff Members for more information.
Anyone may view a brief description of the application system by going to the My Housing page."

I just want to make sure that I filled out my housing application correctly and that it was successfully submitted.

That is what I get when I click “apply now” and I have submitted my housing application.

I called the number provided, apparently it is a common problem. They fixed it within 5 minutes of me calling.

it takes like 3 weeks for the system to matriculate for each student but they give you the link 2 weeks after your deposit. wait a few more days and see if anything changes.

So if you apply for housing normally…over 50% of us are gonna end up on North Campus even though the majority aren’t in Engineering?
