To get a haircut in College?

i'm an international. how do college students here to clip their hairs? how often do u guys go to salon or DIY?

p.s.: are hair dressers in US skilled at Asian hair styles? lol.

THanks!

The only people that usually do it themselves are people who shave/buzz their hair. Otherwise they go to some sort of barber. No clue about asian hair styles; if you're going to a school with a significant asian population I'd figure that someone around there would know how, so just ask around.

i usually shave my head with no guard, sometimes let it grow out past a #2.

what is an asian hairstyle? most asians here have normal haircuts. you talking about that gay anime hair crap? take my advice and stay away from that or you'll be stereotyped as a geek.

I go to a salon. I refuse to pay less than $20 for a haircut. haha.

lol stylish asian haircuts...oxymoron

go to an asian hair salon.
^and excuse you I love asian hair styles so psshhh

It depends on where you go to school. If the college is in a large city, then you'll find lots of options for getting your hair cut, so that could probably be useful when looking for a particular style.
My school is in a small, semi-rural New England town and has only a few places to get your hair cut so it's difficult to find someone who can cut hair in uncommon hair styles.

I don't get my hair cut while at school. That costs too much money...

Really? $10 every month and a half isn't worth looking decent?

^ What I did was get one of the girls I know to cut my hair
If you make friends with a girl who likes style a lot she may cut your hair for really cheap or even FREE

I had a friend who cut hair really well.

i cut my own hair. nothing beats free!

What's an Asian hairstyle?

I cut my own damn hair and its long, not shaved or buzzed.

I could also cut it at any length.

Too damn expensive to pay $10-$15 just for a hair cut!

What happened to the $5 haircut?

"What happened to the $5 haircut?"

Inflation.

I always get a fade. a #2 on top and #1 around (I'm hispanic, so it looks good on me :) )
But I'm not in college so don't pay me any attention

No, its not inflation, its the stupid salons, most barber shops are still pretty cheap, its just there are none in most heavily suburban or urban areas on the west coast.

It really is, its the creation of all these niche markets, and then you can charge more.

Damned Fantastic Sams and Great Clips!

Asian people have really thick hair. I would know this, because I'M ASIAN! White people are not good at cutting thick hair... that's why he's asking.

^ When I was little my dad took me to Korean neighborhoods to get my hair cut because it was like 5 dollars

that was a long time ago...

the ladies did it well

Asian hair style... is hair styles on asian people hahahaha.
Hair styles that are popular in asia pretty much.

like last year bobs and asymmetrical bangs were in korea I think...

asian hair is thicker in diameter, but it's actually less dense than white hair.
