Haha! I forgot all about the backpack! I’m excited now lolllll

I don’t know if things have changed (let’s just say I was in the “last” summer Haas session for now) but I got: a Haas backpack, the “yearbook,” a Haas coffee travel mug (cheap), and a shiny metal business card holder. If you go to this other career event, you can also get a leather-like Haas business portfolio (the ones that you take to recruiting). Best of all: free color and B&W printing for the rest of your Cal semesters!

But really, take advantage of all the amazing events Haas, or even Cal, offer. I never went to them but I wish I had. Haas is amazing in holding events centered around business topics and recruiting info sessions.

Congrats on becoming a Haashole from a graduated Haastitute!

Congratulations everyone :D!

I got declined lol, but it was a last minute application so expected.

Care to share what that event was called :] (the one with the portfolio)

Is the free printing only at Haas? or is it all around campus?

Some Haas juniors told me that they stopped giving out the leather portfolios this year. =/ yeah, it sucks. it would’ve been a major selling point for me.

but, wow! free printing for the next 2 years?!?!

The portfolio was given at this event that only Haas students can attend. There are workshops for different sectors of business and some etiquette presentation. It’ll probably be held at the beginning of the fall semester if they do it. Last time, some rich dude who graduated from Haas donated money so we could have the event.

The printing is in the computer lab and the Haas undergraduate lounge (not as fancy as you may think). Not gonna lie; if you go at peak hours, printing will be hard to achieve since some printers are incredibly slow. You have to kinda figure out which computers print things out the fastest.

i heard from a few people that they might not give out haas backpacks anymore due to lower funding…but i have no idea. i was really looking forward to the backpack! wouldn’t you assume haas to have many large donors??

^ what the… andrew??

what? who is this?

What…That’s totally disappointing

I’m not so sure about this rumor. Haas has a pretty healthy budget.

Besides, the backpack is great advertising for them.

I only applied to get the backpack =/

i got a high school degree, came to Cal, took 3 semesters’ worth of haas prereq classes, did a lot of ECs, joined the top 5 biz frats/clubs as defined by that one thread on CC that still goes on even today, kidnapped 200 people for ransom over a 2 year period, applied to haas, cut off 3 ounces of flesh every day from the day i applied to haas til feb 16 as sacrifice to the haas admin gods, got into haas, and then wrote this post

only to get the backpack.

crowslayer91… seriously? I can’t believe you got in…

Everyone knows that you need to sacrifice at least 5 oz of flesh AND 0.2 liters of blood every day…

Man, they must have lowered the requirements this year

@StarryNights, well back in the good old days before earl cheit, dean shylock required a whole pound of flesh from students. i guess this one smart alec shut that down though b/c of this issue about blood. and i guess they just went with the current 5oz flesh + .2 L blood from there.

but i actually had to compensate (i have financial aids work study, so i can’t give the full 5oz and .2L). at the very end of the sacrifice period i presented them with a special mixture of healing blood from the right half of a gorgon, sparkly blood from the non-metrosexual half of robert pattinson, and menstrual blood from the female half of the leftover kidnapped people.

i was going to go with gold coins and demented concubines from persia, but i guess that one guy from 300 beat me to the punch.

Wait . . . why is it considered hard to get into Haas?

it isn’t. you just need to know the hours. i mean, is it hard to get in to anywhere on campus?

Yes… have you tried climbing up that hill to get to bowles… o__O

the hill to bowles? try the hill BEHIND bowles. one time i tried biking with my friend who is in the Cal cycling club. we biked up from shattuck to piedmont/maxwell field. at that point my friend turned to me and said “left (down piedmont) or straight (up toward centennial drive, the road to the lawrence hall of science)?”

I said straight. my body went left. THAT hill is impossible. oh dear.

It’s hard to get into classes.
