you CAN make an "on the go" playlist on the ipod itself, and it will stay there untill the battery completely dies or you sync it.

The Ipod is def super easy to use, but my friend just got a 5GB Zen Micro and he really likes it.

wow!!! thank you everyone soooo much! more help than i ever dreamed of...

I love you CC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As an iPod owner, I would suggest the iRiver one or the Toshiba one. If you care anything about the sound quality, don't get the iPod (and the Creative Zen is even worse in this aspect). It gets scratched very easily - I had mine for two weeks before it became all scratched up. Also, iTunes is a horrible, resource-hogging music program if you have a PC. Frankly, the iPod is only good for its looks. It may have been good back when it first came out, but there are many companies out there now that are better than Apple.

I am quite amazed at how popular the iPod has become in the States considering its horrible quality. If I could sell my iPod for one of the other mp3 players, I'd probably get the iRiver one.

my ipod quality is very good. im not sure what u are listening to. compared to the fauxpods ive listened too, ipod is very good
