What does your child use to keep his/her weekly calendar on? PDA, computer in dorm, paper weekly planner?

Thanks

Thanks

I think my daughter uses one of those large whiteboard calenders in her room with schedule/due dates etc. she probably initially jots it all down in a notebook or planner but for visual and daily reminder the whiteboard is hard to beat.

Ummm . . . Doesn’t?

I’ve never seen any PDAs or weekly planners in use. Maybe they keep something on their computers.

She has a palm centro, which I just looked up, does have a calendar function. I live on my Q.

Haha, I thought you meant a different type of PDA (public display of affection). I thought this was going to be an interesting discussion.

My thoughts exactly!

sorry, old fort, thanks swimcat – I may go with belt and supsenders, so she has whatever she decides to use.

Google Calendar.

Google Calendar also. Although the Public Display of Affection would have been more entertaining.

I have an application on iGoogle, a paper calendar on the wall, a whiteboard, and a personal datebook.

No, they aren’t all synched. ;)

I think my d keeps her weekly schedule on the back of an envelope under the unwashed teapot next to her toothpaste and painting supplies on what would be her desk if there weren’t an air conditioner under it. Or perhaps it’s under one of her piles of laundry.

Alternatively, maybe she keeps it in her head?

He uses Google Calendar on his laptop which is his backpack 1/2 time and in the dorm 1/2 time (depending on the class and his schedule for the rest of the day).

D, while very tech-savvy, uses an old-fashioned weekly planner. She can keep it in her handbag or bookbag and it’s often faster to use than a PDA or computer. I do the same thing.

Various software and iPhone apps. And to give parents of HS students hope: I am impressed with his organization as a college student.

Humm…I am not sure, but I think my DD’s school has an online calendar that she can type in additional information/dates for class projects, etc. It may just be the calendar offered w/Apple.
Me-I use a PDA…but I still fall victim to the occasional PDA w/my husband =)

DD uses an old fashioned pocket sized calendar. DS uses his computer.

D also used a weekly planner that runs from August to August from a company called Mixed Role Productions. She bought her first one while at a summer program at W&L and has continued to buy the same thing each year in Nashville at Davis Kidd. She is like Booklady’s D - tech savy, but likes this particular planner. Has never taken her laptop to class, just to the library, as far as I know.

Weekly planner that she carries in her backpack to class, transcribes everthing to a monthly calendar on wall next to desk. Very important stuff also goes on the whiteboard next to wall calendar.

I know that both my Ds use planners from their colleges (Lewis & Clark and UCLA). They are basically weekly planner books that they write all assignments and due dates in. Since the school puts them out they contain all info like final exam dates, end of quarter, any school holidays and important deadlines. They can be purchased at the schools bookstore. I know in addition they also use a wall calendar next to their desks.

Google calendar. The campus uses it for a lot of things and she can sync her calendar with the activity’s one. She has her classes, when she works, (she syncs that one with theirs) when her rehearsals are, then adds papers, tests, etc.
