Last year I took 3 AP classes: chem, bio, and USH. Respectively, I got a 2, 3, and 4 on the tests. I’ve heard it both ways, that schools don’t care about your AP scores and that they carry a lot of weight in admissions decisions. What’s your opinion on this matter? Should I list them on the common app? Just the 4? None at all? Thanks!
p.s. applying ed1 to Dartmouth, ed2 to Claremont, and a few other competitive schools plus matches and 2 safeties for the rest of my schools if that changes your opinion.
That’s a pretty hard thing to know for sure. I personally don’t think they get factored into admissions much if at all. I would log the 3 and 4. They count as passes and the 4 might count for a few units of college credit which doesn’t hurt to have.
