Please help with my decision to retake a course...

If you got a D in a class in the second semester of your junior year, should you retake it at a local Community college in the fall of your senior year or should you just "move on" and continue without retaking the course? How much can a retake, with a grade of an A or B impact a college admission? Is it really worth it to retake this class? Will colleges look favorably upon a retake?

FYI- At my school, a D is considered passing (i.e. you get graduation credit).

What kind of schools are you looking at? What is your GPA? If you are looking at state schools and your GPA is still high, then I would say don't worry about it. But if you are applying to Ivy league schools then by all means re-take the class, even if its at your high school during summer (if that is still available) and see if that could be expunged from your record because you re-took the class (although I highly doubt they will).
