I am hesitant to post this because my score was abysmal and extremly disappointing to me- a 690 on the Physics SAT II, while 80-90% of the posters in this forum boast high 700s and 800s as their average SAT II score. begins his list of excuses I did have the top grade in my Physics Honors course (the AP course has a Calculus requirment, so it is taken almost exclusivly by seniors), but to my horror I found out that we had not covered about 1/3 of the material only the night before the test~ ;____; At least I learned a lesson from all of this... So right now I'm faced with two options- A) Take 3 SAT IIs next year (since I'm entering my junior year in the fall) and study significantly for each, or B) Study and retake the Physics SAT II in October (since I managed to get a 690 with virtually no studying and w/o knowing 1/3 of the test material, I think I could easily get at the very least a 730\740 if I did study).

So what should I do? Next year I will most likely be applying to the HYP and other top tier schools, so I'm afraid that this will drag down my app if I only take 2 SAT IIs next year (since I'm afraid that preparing for 3 rather than 2 may hurt all of my scores) =/.
