Hello! my super score SAT is decent (680s all around)(I have taken it twice)). I took two subject tests (chemistry-700 and math II-770). Obviously, my math II is significantly better than my my SAT I math score. Should I try to take the SAT again? I’m pretty confident that I can do better on all fronts, but the difference may only be marginal. Is three times too many for colleges with my already sufficient score?
What is your current practice score? If you think you can do better, why not. The question is whether it is the best use of your time and how much you can improve. Three times is not too many if that can really boost your chance. 2040 is a good score depending on what schools you are looking at.
You have to really study to bring it up – are you willing to do that? Also, it is hard to say if you should take it again without knowing what schools you plan to apply to and something about your other qualifications.
You really need to retake the chem subject test. Your score puts you at the 54th percentile (https://secure-media.collegeboard.org/digitalServices/pdf/sat/sat-percentile-ranks-subject-tests-2014.pdf) which is bad if you are looking at schools who want SATs above 2040.
